ADHD, AUTISM, AND POSTPARTUM THERAPIST IN SAN MARCOS, CA

MEET LINDSEY SCHMIDT, LMFT

Portrait of a smiling woman with brown hair, wearing a purple top, against a dark green background.

Hi! I’m Lindsey, a neuro-affirming therapist in San Marcos, California, specializing in ADHD, Autism, pregnancy and postpartum mental health, and trauma connected to these experiences. I support adults who are newly diagnosed or exploring their neurodivergence, parents raising children with ADHD or Autism, and individuals navigating the emotional changes that can come with pregnancy and becoming a new parent.

My work also focuses on helping clients process the trauma, grief, overwhelm, and identity shifts that can arise from feeling misunderstood, parenting a neurodivergent child, or adjusting to life during and after pregnancy. I provide a compassionate, affirming space where you can better understand yourself and your experiences, work through what has been difficult, and develop tools that support the way your brain and life actually work.

This work is personal to me. I know what it is like to feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, and need to keep it all together. As both a therapist and a parent of a neurodivergent child, I’ve seen how much healing can happen when people feel truly seem, understood, and accepted.

I believe in creating a space where you don’t have to mask, perform, or carry everything alone. Whether you’re navigating Autism, ADHD, trauma, perfectionism, or pregnancy/postpartum challenges, I’m passionate about helping you reconnect with yourself and move forward with greater confidence and self-compassion.
